REMEMBERING JENNIE VAUGHAN

Wednesday 20th January 2016, 2:05pm Remembering Jennie Vaughan

It is with deep sadness that we share news of the death of Jennie Vaughan, a friend and co-worker at NSCD, who passed away peacefully last week.
Jennie was a much-loved member of staff at the School, always on hand to help others, offering a smiling face and a friendly welcome to students, staff and visitors alike.

Though she left in 2009, Jennie continued to help us with projects and came back briefly in 2011 to provide interim cover. She remained a good friend to her former colleagues, with word going round whenever she was popping in for lunch, and it was always a joy to see her. Jennie was full of life, with a wonderful sense of humour, centred on her politics which were red in colour, her language which, in reference to her days as a Wren, was most definitely blue, and of course tales of Basil her cat, and proud news updates on her lovely boy James.
Throughout her time at NSCD, Jennie offered kindness, generous support and counsel to students, beyond her excellent administrative work for the School, and she will be fondly remembered and missed by the many of our alumni whom she helped along the way.
We are grateful to have known Jennie, for her time in our lives, the fun and joy she brought, and that she remained a friend to the School.
