Before Massala Dance Company take to the Riley Theatre stage for an energising performance of NÄSS (People) on Saturday 2nd February, the company invite you to get involved and try out some moves for yourself. Get a taste of what to expect and work up a sweat in the afternoon, before returning to watch the professionals do their thing in the evening.
Inspired by the company’s unique style of dance which blends together urban and contemporary techniques, this workshop will focus on developing your musicality, helping you find interesting ways to respond to the rhythms and beats of the music. You’ll be taught how to use your breath to create dynamic qualities when you dance and come away a more grounded, confident and fluid performer.
Choreographer of NÄSS and Artistic Director of Massala Dance Company, Fouad Boussouf, will also drop in to say hello and watch you in action!
