Over the course of four weeks first year students from Northern School of Contemporary Dance have explored the majesty and secrets of Temple Newsam. Inspired by the history, landscape and architecture of this 500-year-old estate, students will present a range of interconnected works, taking the audience on an intimate journey through this historic site. Working under the guidance of renowned site-specific performance artist, Susanne Thomas (Seven Sisters Group), and BBC TV producer and Head of Creative & Contextual Studies, James Else, these dance, film and interdisciplinary works promise to capture the spirit of this unique location.
