We are delighted to announce that two of our students have been successful in securing work with Black Box Dance Company in Denmark. Both Charlotte Arnold, on the PAS scheme, and Mason Jubb, currently with VERVE, have secured work with the company.

Charlotte and Mason are very excited about their upcoming ventures. Charlotte told us that she’s looking forward to the upcoming season and touring. While, Mason said: “Living in Leeds all of my life, I am ready to take this next big step – not only within my dancing but culturally too. I am beyond excited for what is to come!”

It seems that Mason is going to be able to have a lot of cultural experiences as the next season will take the company to destinations across the world. Black Box Dance Company is taking their last season piece ‘7even’ to China, as well as continuing to tour their most recent work, ‘Fear’, around Denmark, Sweden and beyond. The season will also see the production of new works, which the company will be taking to a number of destinations. So, it’s clear that Charlotte and Mason are going to be very busy.

Charlotte told us that: “although the company is primarily for dancers at the start of their careers, it’s still a professional company which demands flexibility, maturity and commitment from its dancers.”

Mason thanked NSCD for helping him secure this opportunity, saying: “I simply cannot thank NSCD and its staff enough for helping me get to where I am today. I have been offered a safe and nurturing space to discover new qualities in myself which have allowed me to improve continuously and progress towards my dreams.”

We wish them both the best of luck in the future!
