Join us for our next in-person Undergraduate Open Day on Saturday 25 May and get a feel for what it's like as a student at NSCD.

  • Explore our studios, industry-standard facilities and theatre
  • Observe student demonstration classes
  • Talk to current students, teaching staff and our student services team
  • Take part in an optional practical dance workshop

Anyone thinking about applying for a place on one of our undergraduate courses is welcome to attend:

What will I be doing on the day?

9:15 – Registration 

First off, we’ll get you signed in. Time to grab a coffee and make yourself comfortable  

10:00 – Welcome Talk

A warm welcome to Northern School of Contemporary Dance and a quick intro to the day

10:15 – Class Demos

Get familiar with the style of teaching at our university, compare course classes, and decide which one is the right fit for you! 

11.00 – Break

Grab a snack or drink from our café or just chill out in the lobby area 

11:20 – Staff Panel, Presentation & Q&A

Whether you have a specific question about your preferred course, auditions, student services or accommodation, our staff panel from across different departments are here to help! The presentation will cover everything you need to know before applying

12:30 – Student-led Tours & Lunch 

Step inside our spacious dance studios, lighting studio, library and theatre. And who better to show you around than the students themselves? There’ll be time for lunch after the tour

14:00 – Optional Practical Workshop

A chance to dance! Take part in a taster workshop, giving you a feel for what a typical class could look like

15:00 – Tea & Coffee/chat to students & dance teachers
