Gracefool Collective are Kate Cox, Sofia Edstrand, Rachel Fullegar and Rebecca Holmberg. They graduated from NSCD in 2013.
Gracefool are a group of four female dance artists interested in creating performances that incorporate dance, theatre and music, mixing sharp observation with quick wit, energy and playfulness. Their choreography explores human interaction and societies, often with a comedic or absurdist slant.
Since forming in May 2013, Gracefool have twice been shortlisted for the Vantage Art Prize, completed an Arts Council England funded residency at West Yorkshire Playhouse, been commissioned for Arrivals / Departures (curated by NSCD and Yorkshire Dance), and accepted invitations to perform at a wide range of venues across the UK.
The company received funding and support from CATAPULT in 2014, a professional development programme for emerging dance artists based in Yorkshire delivered by NSCD in partnership with SPIN arts.
