“I try to combine the discipline and hard work that are needed with a smile in each of my classes, aiming to inspire my students to give their all, find their boundaries and go beyond to push themselves on a daily basis. When students show pieces of themselves within the technique classes it is not only a sign of professional collaboration and trust – both which are essential elements in education but the ability to take ownership and add a layer of individuality to their technique as well. I aim for the students to establish strong ballet fundamentals which they can rely on, as well as relate the work back to their daily contemporary practice; allowing playfulness and exploration by paying attention to elements such as volume of movement and musicality.

Seeing my students understand the importance of the classes and develop technically, artistically and mentally as artists and human beings, because of consistent and genuine commitment and curiosity, is what makes me love my profession.
