Hannah started dancing at a young age at Red Shoes Dance School in York. At the age of 16 she was offered the opportunity to train at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance Centre for Advance Training. At the age of 18 Hannah moved to London to study at London Contemporary Dance School (The Place) where she achieved a BA Hons in Dance. During her studies and after graduating she had an extensive performing career performing for choreographers such as Jasmin Vardimon, Robin Dingesmans, Katie Green, Janice Garrett, Sue Maclennan, Rosemary Lee and Joanna Young.

Hannah then wanted to pursue her passion for teaching so completed a Post Graduate Certificate In Education at Brighton University and went on to teach at secondary schools as well as Calderdale College. Her background in performing and teaching influences her practice and has recently written education resources for One Dance UK as well as lecturing at York St Johns University. Hanna is Co-Director at York Dance Space, responsible for the Dance Education Department including teaching classes and facilitating community dance projects.
