HENRY MORRIS

Dancer

From Winchester, Henry began performing at the age of 11 when he joined ENCORE Youth Theatre, and later, Discarded Nut Theatre Company. After studying dance at A-level, Henry began regular ballet lessons before becoming involved in contemporary works created by third-year students at the University of Winchester. He then went on to study at the Northern School of Contemporary (NSCD) Dance, graduating with a First Class BPA (Hons) degree. Henry has worked with a variety of dance artists who include Suzie Davies and Mattias Eckholm, Gavin Coward, Fernanda Prata and Hetain Patel. A particular highlight for Henry was performing a re-staging of 'Ocean' by Jamaal Burkmar at the Nadine Senior Gala 2017 at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Henry recently performed in Oslo, Norway where he had the pleasure to revisit 'Your Cast Will Tire', a piece created by fellow NSCD graduate Carl Aquilizan as part of Dans5. During this time, he also had the opportunity to teach students from Spin-Off Forstudium I Dans. Henry is looking forward to the challenges VERVE will present to him, as well as continuing to work with Maya Carroll on their own creative projects.
