LUCY MARTIN

Dancer

Lucy was born in Kent and began dancing at a young age. She had a keen interest in performance when she came across contemporary dance at the age of 13 and joined her school’s dance company. She joined The Place CAT Scheme in 2013 and later joined Shift Youth Dance Company, working with Ben Duke.

Lucy continued her training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2016, working with choreographers such as Tiia Ourila, Sharon Watson, Nuno Mesquita and Alleyne Dance. She graduated with a first class honours degree.

A particular highlight for Lucy was working with Joseph Mercier on several developments of his piece Desperate Gestures and getting to perform at Live Art Bistro and Yorkshire Dance.
