Mário started dancing at the age of 16, taking hip hop and jazz classes at his local school. After finishing his degree in Psychology, Mário joined Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, where he had the opportunity to work with artists such as Hetain Patel, Jamaal Burkmar and Avatâra Ayuso. In the third year of his degree, Mário joined an exchange programme with Palucca Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden, where he trained for 6 months and performed works from Ihsan Rustem and Guillaume Pires Parada.
As well as having a big interest in people and their behaviour, Mário is driven by learning and facing new challenges that push him in a variety of directions.
