MEGAN PENNINGTON

Dancer

Originally from Leeds, Megan began training at a local dance school, and studied dance throughout high school, gaining a place on the CAT scheme at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2012. She progressed onto the degree at NSCD, graduating with a First Class Honours in 2019.

Her highlight of being an undergraduate student was the opportunity to collaborate with and perform in works by her peers and a variety of professional choreographers including Jane McKernan, Humanhood, Fernanda Prata and Vinicius Salles. Another highlight was discovering her choreographic voice, creating works Anon and SMAK. Her work SMAK was chosen to be performed as part of Flock Festival 2019. Megan will continue to push her curiosity further during her time with VERVE as both a performer and maker.
