Minseok was born in South Korea and started to dance at age 10. She was offered the opportunity to train in a variety of forms such as Hip-hop, Jazz, Belly dance, Latin and Korean dance. As a young dancer, she performed in these forms before at 16 deciding to focus on contemporary dance.
Minseok trained at Hanyang University in Korea, moving to England in 2017 to study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. She is interested in collaboration with other art forms and participated in collaborative projects at Trinity Laban. She has developed other works with videographers, exploring improvisation in Berlin, Germany.
