NSCD’s Access course is recognised nationally for preparing dance artists to undertake further in-depth professional training.
This course will replace the Access diploma from September 2019. Applications for the Certificate of Higher Education in contemporary dance open in September 2018.
This course is specifically designed for the education and training of professional contemporary dance artists, performers, choreographers and artist facilitators.
This one-year, full-time programme provides an opportunity for students to undertake extensive professional development and refine their skills as a performer, whilst being an apprentice with a professional dance company.
The scheme is part of a national intensive dance programme for 13-17 year olds who display exceptional potential and passion for dance.
NSCD’s Student Services department is a one stop shop for all students, and aims to be students’ first point of call for all enquiries. These enquiries may range from timetabling, accommodation, safeguarding and attendance.
Leeds is a City of Dance, and is also home to some of the best theatres and public art collections of international significance to be found outside of London.
