Our 2013/14 seasons are supported by Arts Council England. We’re delighted that this support has enabled us to add a European flavour to the programme, alongside meaningful and entertaining work from artists based both locally and across the UK.
Family audiences will be delighted to see Scottish Dance Theatre return to The Riley with Innocence, a performance specifically designed for children aged 0-7 and their families. Whilst, with promises of silly dancing and ‘brief nudity’, the new show by dance and comedy duo New Art Club is definitely a night out for the grown-ups!
Working in partnership with Yorkshire Dance, December sees our first joint weekend of events at both venues - Arrivals, Departures and Connecting into Europe - creating a mini-festival vibe in the city. And finally, the performance programme is complemented by a number of workshops and discussions, many of which are listed in this brochure. So if you'd like to discover more about contemporary dance, we would love you to get involved!
We hope to see you soon at The Riley Theatre.
