Luis Lara Malvacias
Luis Lara Malvacías is a choreographer, dancer, dance teacher, designer and visual artist. A graduate of The Instituto Superior de Danza in Venezuela, he performed with Espacio Alterno in work by David Zambrano and Jeremy Nelson. His choreography has been presented in North and South America, Europe and Japan. He has been Artist in Residence at Movement Research and Dance New Amsterdam. Commissions for companies include Espacio Alterno; Gotham Group, New York and Perypezye Urbane, Italy. Malvacías has taught at several major dance schools across the USA, South America and Europe. As a visual artist Malvacías has exhibited his work in Venezuela, Spain and the USA, and has designed costumes and sets for dance.
