Gemma Riley
Gemma was born in Kendal in the Lake District and took dance classes from a young age. She discovered contemporary dance through taking GCSE and A-level courses at Queen Elizabeth School in Lancashire. Gemma performed in the school’s youth dance company, QED, which provided numerous performance experiences including taking part in Laban’s Youth Showcase. This love of contemporary dance lead Gemma to NSCD in 2006. She graduated form the BPA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance in 2009. During her studies she worked with choreographers such as Gavin Coward, Katryn Jackson, Andile Sotiya and Henrietta Hale.
