NSCD Events
Deadline to register interest: Friday 28th February
NSCD is looking for Yorkshire-based leaders, creatives and teachers to deliver Children and Young People's Dance across community and education settings.
We have a number of existing programmes, intensives, masterclasses and other initiatives in the pipeline and are looking to recruit a range of committed teachers who can deliver sessions for NSCD in Leeds and beyond. We would like to offer support and reduce the isolation of individual teachers by building a strong team of dance delivery artists who link, liaise and share work together.
We want to connect with teachers, graduates, interested dance artists and other dance specialists from a range of genres and practices including Urban, Commercial, Contemporary Dance and inclusive practice. We are keen to link with those who offer everything from basic/introductory to advanced level teaching, and from regular technique classes to special mixed-form projects such as film dance.
We would also be happy to reconnect with previous tutors or alumni who may be interested in joining our delivery pool across NSCD, Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region.
On Friday 6 March, come along and meet our Learning & Participation team, the NSCD Academies Lead, the Children & Young People’s Dance Network Co-ordinator and other regional teachers.
Share your background and where you may be interested in delivering – geographically, by age group, by style and how regularly. Connect with us to share a wide dance provision for children and young people across our region.
The evening includes a free workshop with ACE Dance and Music ahead of their performance of SKIN Reimagined at Riley Theatre on Saturday 7 March.
We will offer travel reimbursement for anyone attending from outside of Leeds.
The schedule:
5-5.45pm | Networking, meet-up, introduction and plans
5.45-6pm | Break and refreshments
6-8pm | Take part in an ACE Dance and Music Workshop
