These free afterschool sessions include a mix of contemporary technique classes with creative tasks to help build your confidence and develop your skills, ahead of our annual auditions for the scheme in May. No previous dance experience is required, just a willingness to give it a go!

The Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) scheme at NSCD is a non-residential, prevocational dance training programme specialising in Contemporary dance. We work with young people aged between 13 – 17 years who have a passion and drive to fulfil their aspirations in dance. No formal qualifications or previous dance experience are required to join the scheme; both non-experienced and experienced young dancers are encouraged to apply.
We invite all applicants to attend an audition for the scheme.
CAT Auditions for 2023 entry will take place on Saturday 20 & Saturday 27 May 2023.
