£150 for the week

Our five day summer school is an energetic, fun and challenging experience for young dancers aged 12-18 (open-level) and adults aged 18+ (advanced level, including dance students and graduates).

Take daily contemporary dance technique classes to improve your technique, and explore your creativity as you work with a professional choreographer to create a piece.

Booking

Bookings are made via our online booking form.
The £150 fee to attend the NSCD Summer School must be made when completing this form. Once this form is submitted, you will be redirected to paypal to finalise the payment.

Groups

Participants will be split into groups of approximately 20-25 dancers:

  • 12-18 years: open-level groups split according to age
  • Adults aged 18 and older: advanced level groups for professionals, dance students and graduates

Schedule

The summer school features a daily contemporary dance technique class in the morning, followed by creative sessions in the afternoon working alongside a professional dance artist to devise a piece, to be performed on the final day as part of an informal sharing in the Riley Theatre, NSCD.

Accommodation

Unfortunately NSCD is unable to provide accommodation for Summer School participants, and those travelling from further afield will need to arrange their own accommodation for the week.
NSCD is located close to Leeds City Centre and a range of affordable accommodation, including Premier Inn and Travelodge..
