Based in Leeds, we attract the most talented and committed students locally, nationally and internationally. The School is seeking to appoint a:
Student Union President
The post-holder will be the figurehead of the newly formed NSCD Students’ Union. They will be a key representative to the School and to external organisations. As Student Union President, this role leads the elected student representatives and the Students' Union as a whole and acts as the key link to the School's Chief Executive, Executive Leadership Team and Senate, as well as the NUS and other key stakeholders.
Applicants should hold a degree and ideally a postgraduate qualification from a conservatoire setting. We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful individual who will work with colleagues and students to contribute to the introduction and development of a student union organization at NSCD. They will also play a key role in developing the provision of a different combination of services, activities and functions that support and enhance the lives of NSCD’s students. The post holder will be expected to manage the oversight and administration of the Student Union and contribute to its promotion, communications and brand.
The post holder should have some experience of a conservatoire setting and be familiar with the experience of students within these settings. The school will offer training and development to the suitable candidate.
