Library & Digital Assistant

Role and responsibilities:

As the school’s Library and Digital Assistant, Ben’s main role is to run the library counter and to assist with any problems students or staff may have. Other duties include; chaptering footage for the NSCD Media Archive, arranging all reservations for electronic equipment and running the daily overdue procedure.

Career History

Ben is a graduate of The School of Creative Arts, Blackpool (Lancaster University) gaining a BA (Hons) Acting in 2013. Since his training, Ben has worked frequently as a freelance actor on a variety of different projects, from National Tours to Independent feature films to and Open-Air Shakespeare. A particular highlight was his portrayal of Billy in Assembled Junk’s award winning production of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at the Kings Arms in Salford. The show was awarded ‘Best Fringe Production’ at the Manchester Theatre Awards in 2016.

Aside from his performing career, Ben has an extensive background in Customer Service and Administration. Throughout his time in Higher Education Ben worked Telefónica (O2) in a high pressure sales and customer service environment. Ben can also be found working Front of House at the Leeds Grand Theatre on evenings and weekends.
