Role and responsibilities:

Caroline is responsible for managing and coordinating the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT). Her main responsibilities include curriculum planning and development, recruitment, booking artists and student pastoral support. Caroline delivers contemporary and ballet techniques and complimentary subjects for current CAT students as well as delivering the outreach and recruitment work across Yorkshire. She also teaches adult evening classes at NSCD.

Career History

Caroline trained with The Royal Ballet School on the Senior Associate Programme, attending fortnightly classes in Birmingham, then at the age of 16 was accepted onto the degree course at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating in 1998.

Since graduating Caroline has worked with Scottish Dance Theatre, JazzXchange Dance Company (Sheron Wray), European Ballet Company, White & Givan Company, Zodan Dance, Curve Foundation Dance Company, and Rees Dance. She has taught extensively throughout the UK and specialises in Graham and Cunningham techniques. Since 2015 Caroline has taught contemporary and ballet techniques for the NSCD CAT and is an annual guest teacher for Northern Ballet’s International Summer School.
