KACHAL BLUMER

Dancer

“I dance because I feel the most raw, exposed and free version of myself. My life’s path is reflected in my movement. Dance is my safe space and unpredictable place which allows me to jump between worlds and characters.”

Kachal Blumer grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she trained at the Ironi Alef High School of Arts in Tel Aviv. She received the Outstanding Dancer award from the IDF, after which she graduated from ArtEZ University with BA Dancer/Maker. At ArtEZ, Kachal was selected to perform her creation It’s teatime on ArtEZ’s national tour, and during her final year premiered her own creation Oneiro in Tel Aviv. After graduation, she performed in Laura Daelemans The Beehive in Belgium.

Kachal has performed repertoires by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, among others. She has received scholarships and awards from the Batsheva Dance Company’s Excellence Programme, the Joffrey Ballet School NYC, Steps on Broadway NYC, Ruth Page School of Dance Chicago, and Fresco Dance Company.
