Programming, Events & Front of House Manager

Roles and responsibilities:

Kirk is responsible for programming the Riley Theatre and organising the many varied events that take place at NSCD over the course of each year.

He looks after the Front of House Operation at Riley Theatre and of the school in general.

He is also responsible for the UK and European tour booking and logistics for VERVE the post graduate performance company of NSCD.

Career History

Kirk has spent his whole career in the entertainment industry and has extensive experience of managing theatres, live music venues, festivals, record labels and bands.

After completing university he worked in London for the Marquee Club, the Hard Rock Café and the Mean Fiddler Organisation. After some time spent travelling Kirk returned to the UK and worked for the National Theatre touring the UK with “Oh What a Lovely War” performed in three mammoth circus big top tents. He has worked for Bradford Theatres, managed the Platform Arts Centre in Morecambe and Burnley Mechanics Theatre. In this time he organised and managed a number of festivals including Morecambe World Music Festival, Lancaster Street Festival and Burnley International Blues Festival. Kirk has also owned his own record label and managed a number of bands and individual musicians with whom he has toured internationally.
