Lou Ditaranto was born in France and moved to Norway at a young age. She developed a strong passion for dance and began her studies at Trondheim Katedralskole, where she graduated in 2016.
Lou moved to Leeds to commence her professional training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating in 2019 with a First Class Honours degree. She has performed works by Humanhood, Vinicius Salles, Jo Strømgren, Kasia Witek, Tiia Ourila and Jane McKernan.
As well as being an apprentice dancer for Barnaby Booth and now working professionally with him, she has shown an interest in choreography and staged her own work Our Faces in Oslo at Dans/5 2019.
She is very interested in illustration and graphic design and will continue developing her creations alongside her dance performing and making.
