1st Class BA Hons Dance Degree- Leeds Beckett University
Role and responsibilities:
Molly is responsible for administration and planning of activities and projects within the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT). Her main responsibilities include liaising with and booking freelance teachers and with schools, supporting the planning of curriculum and timetabling and maintaining communication with parents and students.
Molly began her contemporary dance training with Phoenix’s Senior Youth Academy before going onto study her Dance degree at Leeds Beckett University where she achieved a 1st Class Ba Hons degree and the Deans Prize for Excellence in Dance.
During her degree, Molly began to teach and facilitate dance which she immediately loved. She has taught with Phoenix Dance Theatre and Yorkshire Dance and has also been a guest dance artist on Celebration of Movement days which engage in developmental movement play.
Choreography is also an interest of hers which saw her take placements with emerging companies to broaden her knowledge of the choreographic process. Alongside this, she has also performed works by Charlie Morrissey and Panic Lab as part of a professional project module on her degree.
After graduating, she has found a need to learn more about the organisation and planning that goes into providing training for young dancers and this has led her to NSCD.
