Dr Sara Wookey is an internationally recognized dance artist, researcher, and consultant. She believes the qualities of dance and the transferable skills of the dance artist can contribute to institutional change and policymaking towards more livable futures. Earning her doctoral degree from the Centre for Dance Research (C-DaRE) at Coventry University and as a Tate Modern Research Associate Sara specializes in dance’s effect on museum culture and in collaborating with the social sciences takes part in positive change-making.
Her writing has been published by Palgrave, Performance Arts Journal, The International Journal for Art & Technology, Itch, Valiz Press, and ArtReview. As a leader in the arts, Sara serves as a Governor at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and is Chair of the Independent Dance Committee at Equity UK.
