How to apply

Thank you for your interest in the Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Learning & Teaching in Higher Education at NSCD.

Applications are are now open.

Applications for 2021 entry close at midnight on 18 July 2021.


There is no audition for this course, instead we run two-stage application process. See below for more information.


We welcome all applicants regardless of disability, ethnicity, gender, sexuality or religion. We consider all applications that are made and our selection process is designed to assess your potential as a dance artist and your suitability for our courses.

STAGE 1: YOUR APPLICATION

When completing your application, you will need to provide:

  1. Personal Details
  2. Your current highest academic qualification
  3. Your current teaching or supporting role in Higher Education
  4. Your letter of application
  5. A reference from your place of work
  6. Equality and Diversity Information

Once you submit your application you will be redirected to book and pay for your Stage 1 Audition (subject to availability). Applications without an audition booking/payment will not be processed.

You will also receive an email confirmation from admissions@nscd.ac.uk. Please check and save this email. We recommend you add this email address to your contacts to avoid emails going into your junk/spam folder.

APPLICATION FEE

The application fee is a one-off payment of £20, payable on submission of your application. We are unable to process applications until your application has been paid for.

CDD employees are exempt from this application fee and should contact admissions@nscd.ac.uk to request a promotion code to use when booking your application place through NSCD Box Office Online.

STAGE 2: INTERVIEWS

We aim to view Stage 1 applications within 2 weeks of receipt during term time. Shortlisted applicants from Stage 1 are invited to attend a Skype interview; you are not required to attend an interview at NSCD. Those who are not shortlisted will be informed.

OUTCOMES

Following Stage 2, offers are made to successful applicants who then have 3 weeks in which to accept. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed and may be placed on the reserve list.
