Open Day - Top tips

Our Undergraduate Open Days are the perfect opportunity to learn more about our courses, how to apply, auditions, and life at NSCD, including student support.  Here are some of our top tips for getting the most out of your day:

  • Prepare any questions you might have. These might be about admissions, modules, facilities, accommodation or student services
  • Check out our course pages ahead of the day for entry requirements, course content and more.
  • Arrive early for registration – this gives you time to get settled, complete a pre-evaluation and grab a drink from our café!
  • Take part in a workshop (remember to bring suitable clothes that are easy to move in and a water bottle!)
  • Speak to current students on the day about their experience. Our student advocates will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about life as a student at NSCD
  • Factor in time to explore Leeds. Leeds is one of the UK’s most vibrant, student-friendly and fastest-growing cities. Find out more here.
  • Most importantly, have fun and enjoy it!

Booking is now open for our autumn Undergraduate Open Day on 22 October.

Visiting with family and guests

Our Open Days have a limited capacity and booking is essential. Parents, guardians, family and friends are welcome to attend our Open Days but we ask that you only bring a maximum of 2 guests with you.

Staying overnight

If you need to stay overnight, we recommend you book accommodation in advance. The Welcome to Yorkshire website gives lots of options for places to stay. Many city centre hotels are between 20-25 minutes walk from NSCD.
