At the Riley Theatre
A gripping, dark and psychological thriller told through movement. Six characters and their shadow counterparts are swept into different stories, revealing inner worlds, hidden personalities, and unconscious desires.
In his first full-length work since Beauty of The Beast (★★★★ The Guardian), choreographer Anthony Missen uses an end of the world scenario and Carl Jung’s model of the psyche to explore human behaviour and our darker selves.
“packed with inventive movement ideas“
“fiercely physical dance theatre“
– The Guardian
Company Chameleon started when Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner met at Trafford Youth Dance Theatre in the mid-1990s. From a young age, they both shared the ambition to dance professionally and went on to train at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. After graduating, they travelled and worked with some of the world’s most innovative dance companies and choreographers.
They returned home to Manchester in 2007 and founded Company Chameleon. Today, the company tours internationally, staging indoor and outdoor performances while delivering classes and workshops. Through their workshops they have introduced thousands of young people, from countries all over the world, to their athletic style of dance and movement. In 2019, Company Chameleon welcomed Dame Darcey Bussell on board as the Company’s first-ever Patron.
