ACE dance and music presents TEN, a thought-provoking full-length dance production
At a time when more and more people across the world find themselves having to leave their own lands, ideas of home and belonging are changing. ACE have reunited with choreographer José Agudo to make an extraordinary dance piece.
Full of intense physical power and human fragility, TEN explores the concepts of moving away and leaving, looking at how and why people choose unimagined destinies over the lives they'd always thought they'd live. Inspired by global migration, TEN is a visceral and exhilarating dance production centred around the relationship between two brothers. TEN continues the legacy of A Thousand Shepherds, combining contemporary dance with an essence of Flamenco, Kathak and Martial Arts with ACE's inimitable Afro-fusion style.
Music composition by Giuliano Modarelli layers emotive tribal vocals with evocative melodies into a dynamic soundscape created in collaboration with Beautiful Noise (Vincenzo Lamagna).
