A night of live performance exploring the politics of ownership, originality, and freedom.

Experience 3 new works created by international choreographers in collaboration with dancers at the renowned Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

Responding to the idea that worlds can be made through social dance practices including vogue and dubstep, Joseph Mercier’s latest work takes the club, and the social practice of clubbing, as the starting point for choreography.

Jane McKernan mines the historical tropes of physical theatre to consider the currency of consent- what does it mean to steal, to touch? Today? Back then?

Lastly, Fernanda Prata tackles originality head-on in Re:Rosas, a re-staging of the iconic work Rosas Danst Rosas, made by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and her dance company in the 80s, dealing in repetition, uniformity and rhythm.

On/Off will be performed at Riley Theatre on Tuesday 4th December and at Live Art Bistro on Thursday 6th December 2018.
