Born in West Yorkshire, Katy began studying at NSCD on the Access course and then continued onto her degree, graduating in 2017 with a First Class BA (Hons). She was awarded the Governors Professionalism Award and also the Leadership Award from Leeds Specialist Institutions. She has a huge interest in improvisation and movement research, alongside teaching and is a children's Saturday School teacher at NSCD.
Katy has performed work by choreographers such as Daniel Almgren Recén, Laila Diallo, Jos Baker and Company Blu. She has also been an apprentice dancer for Vanessa Grasse's Mesh R&D and has performed and shown her choreographic work at Burst, Yorkshire Dance.
