Growing up in Bristol, Ruby danced with local contemporary youth companies, acted with Bristol Old Vic Young Company, and toured with National Youth Dance Company under the artistic direction of Akram Khan. She then trained at London Contemporary Dance School, graduating with a First Class BA Hons degree. In both student and professional capacities, she has worked with companies and artists including Punchdrunk, Liz Aggiss and Robert Cohan.
Ruby is also developing her artistic voice, with her work having been shown at venues such as Sadler's Wells and Tate Modern. She is currently part of the new Sadler's Wells Young Associates programme (which aims to support emerging choreographers) where she hopes to draw upon her passion for socio-political issues with her choreography, such as women's rights and the environment.
