It Had a Different Ending by Chess Dillon-Reams
It Had a Different Ending explores storytelling, endings, and self-authorship. How do we feel when our stories are told inaccurately? Can we reclaim them? How do we process an ending we didn’t choose? Created with the group as they near a significant ending; the end of JV2 & their training, the piece invites audiences to reflect on how narratives are shaped and how we let go and grieve, so that we can begin again. Through movement and text, it examines what it means to honour and rewrite our stories, embracing change and the power of taking ownership of our own endings.
Strings Attached by Hobie Schouppe
This performance delves into the human need for attachment — the way we instinctively reach for connection, even when it’s not returned. Through movement, we explore how love, loneliness, and longing drives us to find comfort in the inanimate, projecting our emotions onto objects that cannot feel. It is a meditation on vulnerability and the quiet ache of seeking solace where there is none, inviting the audience to reflect on the spaces where affection and illusion meet.
