Combining his skills in lighting design and dynamic movement composition, Barnaby creates theatrical worlds that explore social interaction, personality and psychology, celebrating the miraculous power of imagination and storytelling in an unorthodox form.

Barnaby has created work for companies including Bodhi Project, TRAK Dance Ensemble, ENO, Los Little Guys and Dantzaz. He has collaborated with dance artists such as Ieva Kuniskis, Tora Hed and Sita Ostheimer, and his lighting credits include work for DeNada Dance Theatre and Northern Ballet.

His solo We Do This. We Don’t Talk won numerous prizes at the Stuttgart International Solo Festival and at Poland’s Gdanski Festival Tanca in 2017. In 2018 he was an associate artist of Utopia Theatre Company.
