Hunter was born in Colorado and grew up in Costa Rica before moving to Spain to study Contemporary Dance at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB). During her time at IAB, she performed works by choreographers including Sita Ostheimer, Yue Yin, Vim Vigor, Paloma Muñoz, Matthew William Robinson, Glenda Gheller, Jorge Crecis, Luca Signoretti, and Albert Garrell.
She values collaboration and has worked alongside her twin sister, Ava Jacobs, on two choreographic projects presented at the CREART Festival 2025 and Momentos 2026 at IAB. Curious by nature, Hunter enjoys exploring and incorporating new dance styles into her practice, constantly expanding her movement vocabulary and artistic perspective.
