About - Riley Theatre

About

Riley Theatre is situated at the heart of Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD). Initially a working synagogue, the building is now Grade II listed and retains many of its original features, including vaulted ceiling, carved pews and candelabra.

Adapted for contemporary dance performances in the 90s, the venue has since received thousands of visitors every year. Our innovative programme aims to reflect the breadth of work made today, from emerging talent to established touring dance companies and we enjoy feeding in to Leeds’ growing reputation as an international centre for dance.
