(She/Her)
Emma is from Manchester and trained at the Lowry CAT scheme for 4 years, where she had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Jordan Bridge and Northern Rascals. Emma completed the BA (Hons) Dance (Contemporary) course at Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD). During the 3 years, she worked with the choreographers Tom Roden and Gary Clarke. As an NSCD Student Governor, Emma understands the importance of a well-represented student voice that is ingrained into the decision-making of the school, and enjoys hosting Student Platform events, both producing and performing in them. In her previous role as NSCD Student Union President, she choreographed work commissioned by Kaleidoscope Project for Party in the Park. She has a huge interest in choreography and co-founded Cacaboom Company. The company has choreographed two large-scale works, hosted workshops and created films about the importance of joy and humour in dance. She is grateful for the opportunity to develop powerful physicality and stamina this year!
