"I dance because it’s what I love to do. It gives me the opportunity to be completely present with myself, my body and those around me. Dance for me is also very social and has connected me to some of the most important people in my life."
Alex (he/him) grew up in Bristol where he started dancing with Rise Youth Dance Company. He then moved to Leeds to study at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance where he graduated with a First Class Honours degree.
During his training Alex has performed works by Anna Williams, Barnaby Booth and Vicki Igbokwe. As well as this, he has worked externally with Northern Rascals, Möbius Dance Company and made his professional debut in a site specific work by Gary Clarke.
