CIARAN OAKLEY

Dancer

"I dance because it makes me feel good, and there is no better feeling than when I am able to perform and share this joy with other people."

Ciaran started dancing at the age of 5 at his local dance school in Yarm, North Yorkshire. In 2014 he joined Dance City Centre of Advanced training in Newcastle. After training there for 3 years, he was successfully accepted into Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary in London. Ciaran has worked with choreographers such as Jose Agudo, Christopher Bruce, Darren Ellis and others whilst at Rambert, and recently graduated with a First class degree.

Ciaran also had the opportunity, during his second year at Rambert, to work with Yorke Dance project in their restaging of Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Playground. Ciaran got to experience touring this production throughout England and performing at the Royal Opera house.
