Dulcie grew up in the North East of England where she first started dancing in Youth Dance Tyndale and discovered a passion for contemporary dance. She Joined the Dance East CAT scheme working with the likes of Jasmin Vardimon Company, Sarah Blanc, Uchenna Dance and Hofesh Schecter Company. Dulcie graduated from London Contemporary Dance School with a First-Class Honours having worked with, Becky Namguads, Ekleido ,Tina Afiyan Breiová and Vicky Mantey.
Along side performance Dulcie has developed a choreographic practice. She aims to create life-centred dance with the intention to alter people’s perception of nature. She creates work with a desire to connect to all aspects of life, recognising the complexity of living on a planet inhabited by multiple species. she uses this approach to dismantle anthropocentrism, and explores themes of entanglement, animism and enchantment to express the interconnectedness of living things.
