PIERPAOLO COSENTINO

he/him

"Dance is part of my family, I love dance unconditionally no matter what. It is my place to go when I don’t feel understood. I learned everything I know about myself from it. No words are needed when we are in the same room and there’s nothing I can hide from it. It is a gift that I shouldn’t take for granted. That’s why I dance."

Pierpaolo was born in Acireale, Italy, where he discovered his love towards hip hop and other forms of street dance. At the age of 13 he started training in ballet and contemporary dance. In 2018 Pierpaolo was invited to take part in the CAT Summer Intensive at The Place where he explored new ways of improvisation and creation.

He moved to London in 2020 and joined The Place and was awarded with a Diploma of Higher Education in Contemporary Dance with Merit. He then graduated with a BA (Hons) at Rambert School in 2023.

During his journey at The Place and Rambert School, Pierpaolo worked with choreographers such as Anthony Matsena, Ana Maria Lookatu and Akram Khan.
