Sara was born in Coimbra, Portugal, where she began studying classical ballet at the age of 7. In 2014 she moved to London to train at the Royal Ballet School, continuing her training at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance from 2016. During training she had the opportunity to work with Jason Mabana, Kim Brandstrup, Charlotte Edmonds and Martin Lawrence.
During her time at Rambert she also taught contemporary dance and choreographed for GCSE Dance students at Springwest Academy in southwest London.
In 2019 Sara performed in Yorke Dance Project’s tour alongside artists such as Dane Hurst and Jonathan Goddard and worked with Portuguese Hip-hop artist Hugo Marmelada in a creative project by Addo Platform. Sara graduated with a first class honours degree in 2019.
