NSCD alumna Heather Walrond has been successful with a research and development grant from Arts Council Englandfor her first work under the name of Heather Walrond Company.
Heather graduated from NSCD in 2014 and explores influences of contemporary, Fijian and Maori dance in her work. Heather will be presenting a work-in-progress of her new piece The Rising at Barbican Theatre, Plymouth on Friday 18 September. The Rising celebrates the riches of the human imagination, accompanied by live music from multi award-winning musicians Will McNicol & Luke Selby. Performing Heather’s work are three other NSCD alumni; Akeim Buck, Zoe Bradley and Lewis Bramble.
