NSCD Bursaries for Weekly Classes & Intensives

At Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD), we are committed to making dance accessible to all. If financial barriers prevent you or your child from joining one of our Weekly Classes or Intensives, you may be eligible to apply for a bursary.

We offer bursaries of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% off course fees based on financial need and other criteria, helping more people access high-quality dance training at NSCD. We have a limited number of bursaries each term, please see below for eligibility criteria.

What is a Bursary?

A bursary is a form of financial support that reduces or fully covers the cost of your chosen NSCD community class, workshop, intensive or activity. If awarded, the bursary amount is applied directly to the fee for that activity.

Please note: bursary funds are not paid directly to participants or families.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I still apply if the term has already started?

We recommend applying before the term starts. Applications received after term has begun are unlikely to be considered due to limited availability.

Can adults apply for bursaries too?

Yes, but priority is given to children and young people. Adults are welcome to apply and will be considered based on available funds.

Do I need to send proof of income?

Proof of income will be requested within the application form as supporting evidence to help assess your eligibility. We treat all data confidentially and securely.

Can I apply for more than one term?

Yes, but you will need to reapply each term. Bursaries do not roll over automatically.
