NSCD Events, Workshops, Workshops and Courses
Our five-day summer school is an energetic, fun and challenging experience for young dancers aged 12-17 (open level) and adults aged 18+
Improve your technique with daily classes, and explore your creativity as you work with a professional choreographer to create a piece.
There are 3 strands of the NSCD Summer School:
Strand 1 for ages 12-14
Strand 2 for ages 15-17
Strand 3 for ages 18+ (advanced level, including dance students and graduates)
Our Summer School features a daily contemporary dance technique class in the morning, followed by creative sessions in the afternoon working alongside a professional dance artist to devise a piece, to be performed on the final day as part of an informal sharing at the Riley Theatre, NSCD.
For those interested in applying for our range of full-time and part-time courses there is the option to attend a Progression Routes Session at the end of the week.
A discretionary amount of bursaries are available for those who need financial support to get involved. Participants seeking support should apply for a bursary completing our online form.
Should you need any support in making your application please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0113 219 3005.
Unfortunately, NSCD is unable to provide accommodation for Summer School participants, and those travelling from further afield will need to arrange their own accommodation for the week.
NSCD is located close to Leeds City Centre and a range of affordable accommodation, including Premier Inn and Travelodge.FIND LOCAL ACCOMMODATION
