BPA (Hons) Contemporary Dance - Northern School of Contemporary Dance

Born & based in Yorkshire, Katy is a graduate from NSCD and is very happy to inspire and teach the next generation of young dancers in the area. She has taught Mixed Level One Saturday School, as well as CAT workshops and Primary Schools Outreach for NSCD L&P across Yorkshire.

Teaching a variety of ages, Katy also works for Global English Theatre in Italy, for Northern Ballet, Leeds START Programme and the Rural Steps (ACE Funded Project) developing Youth Companies in Harrogate and Skipton. She has also taught professional class for ProDance Leeds, University of Valetta Malta and Surface Area Dance Theatre. As a performer Katy has worked for Northern Rascals (2019), Vanessa Grasse (Great Exhibition of the North & Light Night 2018) and toured with Verve 18. As an independent solo artist, Katy is interested in movement research and bringing together dance artists and young children in her Improplay workshops, researching decision making through improvisation, to inspire, ignite creativity, playfulness, and support individuals well-being.
