NSCD classes

These classes run for 10 weeks with no classes the week of half term – Thursday 19 February 2026

Led by an NSCD dance artist, these classes involve a range of contemporary dance techniques and creative skills, to develop movement memory, co-ordination, strength, stamina, alignment, flexibility and choreographic/performance skills. The class works as a company exploring creative and choreographic concepts, working towards the development of a performance piece each term.

These classes are designed and appropriate for young people who have an existing understanding of contemporary technique and who wish to work creatively and perform new work in a supportive & co-creative dance environment.

NSCD Youth Dance Company will have opportunities to share/perform in the Autumn, Spring and Summer term. NSCD Youth Dance Company will perform this academic year on the below dates:

• End of Term Informal sharing - Wednesday 26 November 2025
• NSCD Community Dance Platform - Saturday 28 March 2026
• Learning & Participation Annual Showcase - Saturday 27 June 2026 (to be confirmed)
